Base-jumping from Ingushetia's Myat-Loam cliff
During February 2014 Russian jumpers accomplished base-jump from Myat-Loam cliff in Ingushetia. The mountain is 3000 meters high, the height of free fall - about 1,300 meters (by base-jumping standards it is a helluva lot). And more recently these rocks were hidden from sportsmen - they had to go abroad, to jump in Europe. Last year Russian jumpers visited the area for the first time, because until 2012 it was closed from tourists dew to cross-border status.

The region is very picturesque, it was called Ingushetia's cradle. Numerous tower complexes survived in the mountains, which are so harmoniously fit into the local atmosphere, and we are very pleased for our vast and diverse country. It is also known that in the XVI century the Great Silk Road passed through this land.

Friends frightened us of the unrest Caucasus before the trip, but we were interested - is it really? As it turned out, all is quiet in Dzheyrakh area, locals say that it has never been battling there and military actions do not held. Traces of the Chechen campaign still remained outside Dzheyrakh district, in the village Tsori, near Chechnya.

Climb to the rock is not complicated; the way can be overcome by any little trained person.

The ancient temple of Myat-Seli is situated at the top of the hill. During ancient times Ingush people organized meetings and made sacrifices there, the temple is more than 1000 years old.

The first twenty seconds of the flight passes through the gorge, rocks pinches you from all sides. You mast take very quick flyout at a safe height. Very beautiful landscape allows proximity flights. It is very interesting place for experienced base-jumpers.
