The Colossus Bridge - Bungee Site in Italy
Adrex.com continues its search for the best bungee sites around the globe. This time we take a look at the Colossus Bridge, one of the oldest fixed objects for Bungee Jumping in Italy. If during an ordinary day, a mailman delivers you a package containing a piece of rope (yes, you can order it from the Bungee Centre), you will then realize that this piece of rope would remind you not only of your achievement in the Colossus bridge but, even more, that feeling of fear mingled with excitement of that day. After all, you are not jumping everyday from an elevation of 152m/499ft high bridge!

The bungee site is situated in the heart of the Biellese Alps, between Milano and Turin, in Veglio-Mosso area. The Colossus Bridge has become a classic bungee point for the fans as well as many aspirants who want to experience -2.7 G-force at speed of 28m/sec. The average freefall time is 4,5 sec. With more than one decade of existence, the training center of the area guarantees totally safe, and unforgettable experience. Although its height makes the bridge among the hottest points for bungee jumping, it is not addressed only to adrenaline junkies or skilled fans but also beginners. The surrounding area also offers other outdoor activities such as MTB Downhill, Climbing or Skiing.

Exploring Outdoor S.r.l. is the first professional Italian organization that introduced Bungee Jumping in Italy. They started in 1993 and by the year 1994 they had already opened the 1st permanent Bungee Center in Italy, located halfway between Torino and Milano. It is an 8 tiered bridge that is nicknamed "Colossus" for its immense size. At the center you can try one the highest World bridge jumps: 152 meters high (499 ft.) all year long. Since the opening day in 1995, this Bungee-Cult site, where more than two thousand people come to meet the gravity power every year, hosts over 3,000 jumps in just one season. In 2003, the BBC Television chose this Bungee center for its scientific TV program "Body Hits" broadcasted through BBC3 and BBC World.
