Kitesurfing in Mexico - Getting Away from it All
Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula attracts many kiteboarders each year. But not so many might know that just 25 minutes north of Cancun lies an undisturbed peninsula of white sandy beaches and virgin jungle. Bordered by the Caribbean Sea and the Chacmuchuk Lagoon, a very large flat shallow saltwater lagoon, lies a secret tranquil gem - Isla Blanca - a great escape from crowded beaches. You ask how do we know about it? Let's say we are good at it but the truth is that this place is under Kitesurf Vacation's thumb, a kitesurfing school that's been around since 2001.

Mexico offers amazing number of cultural and outdoor activities such as kitesurfing or kiteboarding. You can find wind almost most of the year here, that's why this incredible kite world destination is well-liked by many. Baja California, the Mexican Caribbean side, Yucatan Peninsula or the Pacific coast - all those places offer various spots.

"We have amazing and popular kiteboarding spots in all Mexico, many people from all over the world come just for kiteboarding.  Nowadays it is easy to arrive here, there are many direct flights to Mexico", says Jaime Ancira, the Kitesurf Vacation owner.

The best think about Kitesurf Vacation (KV) is that they know their home turf like no other. In most cases, it's complicated to find good kiteboarding spots around the world, but Isla Blanca (KV writes about this beautiful spot in more details here) is definitely one of them.
